Cutting Coolants And Oils

COROBIT-335 is a versatile petroleum based product having multipurpose uses and applications. It is an organic blend of petroleum oils, emulsifiers, surfactants, corrosion inhibitors etc.

ADVANTAGES:

As compared to other cutting coolants COROBIT-335 has the following advantages.

1. Easily and readily emulsifiable with water to form a stable milky white emulsion.

2. Enhanced rust protection of components after cutting operations.

3. Longer sump life of bath solution hence less consumption.

4. No rancid smell, and no fungal growth.

5. Higher stability and better lubricity of emulsion during machining operations.

USES & APPLICATIONS:

1. COROBIT-335 is widely used as a cutting coolant for various machining operations such as cutting, grinding, tapping. It provides lubricity, cooling effect and rust protection to both the cutting tools and components. It can be used as a straight cutting oil or diluted with water to form a stable white coloured emulsion.

Use : 2-5% with water for stable milky white emulsion.

1. COROBIT-335 can be used as a corrosion inhibitor for diesel engine cooling water systems to protect all ferrous and non-ferrous surfaces against rusting & oxidation.

Use : 3-5% with water.

1. COROBIT-335 can be added to any other cutting fluid to enhance lubricity and rust protection.

Use : 2-10% with water.

1. COROBIT-335 can be used directly by dipping, swabbing, brushing or spraying at room temperature for long-term rust protection of ferrous metals and can be water washed afterwards for removal of this film.

1. COROBIT-335 is extensively used as a quenching medium for heat treated jobs. The heat treated parts are directly quenched in a 10-20% solution of COROBIT-335 with water. This process gives cooling rates slower than those with water but higher than those obtained by quenching directly in oil. Moreover the jobs when removed from this solution have a thin rust protective film.

1. COROBIT-335 can be used as an anti-rust additive for hydro-testing of pressure vessels as well as for hydraulic testing.

Use : 2-5% with water.

1. COROBIT-335 can be used for temporary rust protection of any M.S. surfaces and film can be easily washed off with water whenever required.

Use : 5-20% with water depending on protection period.

COROBIT-COL is a water based synthetic coolant suitable for a wide variety of machining operations of ferrous as well as non-ferrous metals. COROBIT-COL being water based has the following advantages:

Easily soluble with water in all proportions.

Effectively cools the tools and workpiece

Maintains cleanliness of machine surface and coolant systems

Non-polluting and does not pose effluent discharge problem

Excellent visibility of workpiece and cutting tools

Does not attack any metals, rubber, plastic, paints.

ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGE OF USING COROBIT-COL

1. COROBIT-COL prevents rusting and corrosion of machines, workpiece and tools during use, as well as after machining operations, for a few days.

2. COROBIT-COL does not have any objectionable odour and also prevents foul odour during use.

3. COROBIT-COL is very resistant to bacterial attack thus providing long life time of the charge and protection to machined parts.

4. COROBIT-COL gives better lubricity and reduces heat formation, thus increasing tool life and giving better finish to machined parts.

USES:

COROBIT-COL can be used safely and effectively for various machining operations such as Cutting, Drilling, Grinding, Lapping, Milling, Sawing , Tapping, Threading, Turning etc.

APPLICATION:

COROBIT-COL is to be used in the range of 2% - 4% by volume with water (Add 2-4 litres COROBIT-COL to 100 litres of water) depending on the machining operations.

MAINTENANCE :

Maintenance of bath working solution is quite simple. Just maintain pH of solution above 9 by making fresh addition of COROBIT-COL to the solution. Make fresh solution as and when it becomes necessary.
