Pretreating metals with asfocoat-drp offers the following advantages :-
Prevents under paint corrosion
Prevents spreading of rust from a damaged area to sound area adjoining it
Increases paint adhesion with metal substrate
Prevents paints from peeling or flaking off
Enhances durability and life of paints
Aasfocoat-drp can be easily applied by swab, brush or dip after dilution with water at room temperature. After 5-10 minutes, the surface is simply wiped dry with a cloth. The surface is now ready to accept any type of paints or primers. asfocoat-drp can be applied on any ferrous metals. Few applications are on steel furniture such as chairs, tables, cupboards, cabinets, safes, lighting patties, luminaries, printers, copiers, duplicators, computer systems, typewriters boilers, heat exchangers, coolers, air conditioners, slotted angles and various other equipment machineries and fabrications, that are to be painted/or powder coated.

ASFOCOAT-31 removes oil, removes rust and conditions the surface favorable to the adhesion of paint. It does all these three functions simultaneously. It can be used very effectively on all metals, non-metals, alloys, castings, polymers, plastics, rubber parts, polyester screens nylons, including various components, parts and assemblies of the Textile, Engineering and Automobile Industry. It is a versatile general purpose cleaner. It is very safe to use on all metals& Non-metals.
For Oil Removal: ASFOCOAT-31 has solvents, emulsifiers and detergent properties extremely effective for removing all kinds of oil, fluxes, greases, carbon smuts, rust preventives, dirt, dust & soils
For Rust/Oxide Removal: ASFOCOAT-31 easily removes mild rust as it contains acidic ingredients and special accelerators. It also removes oxidation /oxidized scales of non ferrous metals
Base for Paint: ASFOCOAT-31 produces an extremely fine phosphate coat which acts as an excellent base for the adhesion of paint. ASFOCOAT-31 thus saves five to six separate operations that would otherwise be necessary for preparing the metal surface prior to painting. It can be used on all ferrous components, M.S. sheets and castings
In a one step operation it also effectively cleans and conditions aluminium surfaces for painting
It is also widely used for cleaning of all metals & non- metals
Method Of Application:
By Hand: ASFOCOAT-31 is ideally applied by swabbing or by brushing. The concentration to be used would depend on the extent of the soils to be removed. The solution is swabbed & allowed to stay for 3 to 5 minutes after which it is cleaned with saw dust or a dry cloth, before the surface dries.
Persons handling ASFOCOAT-31 should wear PVC/Rubber gloves
If it falls on eyes or skin it should be washed off with plenty of fresh water

Yellow Chromate Coating For Aluminium

Following the above simple process gives excellent paint bonding/adhesion of powder coats to the base surface. It also gives excellent corrosion protection.
Depending on Aluminium composition and process the colour obtained varies from iridescent to olive green. ASHCROM-EL has the ability to cover up scratches and other blemishes while giving a decorative finish at the same time.
ASHCROM-EL is widely used on Aluminium components used in the electronic industry as it serves as a final finish with good anti-corrosion and non-conductive properties. It is also used before painting or powder coating to enhance paint bonding and corrosion-resistance.
ASHCROM-EL is supplied in concentrated form which is to be diluted with water for actual use. The process is simple and economical. It is available in standard packings of 6 and 35 kgs.
Surfaces treated with Asfocoat-160 gives good bonding to paints and also prevents under paint corrosion. Further spreading of rust is restricted to damaged portion only.

(Chemical Polishing Fluid for Aluminum)
Above product is in liquid form and highly acidic in nature. It produces excellent shining and polishing effect on Aluminum and its alloys except for alloys containing silicon.
It is to be used directly in a lead lined equipment or stainless steel 316 quality tank and heated at about 160 to 180°F. Then clean aluminum parts are dipped for 1 to 5 minutes depending upon the finish required. The small parts are preferably loaded first in a perforated basket made of stainless steel or S.S. Wire netting tray with a hook attached to it. This basket is directly dipped in hot ALPOL-2 liquid, for the required time. The parts are washed with cold water and then with hot water. They are then immediately dried.PRECAUTIONS :
1. Use hand gloves while preparing and using the ALPOL-2 solution.
2. Use ALPOL-2 very carefully avoiding splashing on the skin. If the solution is splashed on skin, wash with plenty of water, and consult Physician for further treatment.
3. Provide for lip exhaust to the tank.

(Spray Cleaning-cum-Phosphating Process)
Our ASFOCOAT-160 alongwith ASFOCLEAN-140 used together gives excellent cleaning as well as an extremely fine complex phosphate coating ideally suited for ferrous sheet metals prior to painting. The phosphate coating obtained is in the range of 30-50 mg/sq.ft. which gives very good adhesion of paints. This spray process is most suitable for large size metallic sheets, rolls or files, bus bodies, assemblies of vehicle bodies, drums and barrels, and or parts which are inconvenient to handle and process under dip system. This process is also suitable for internal lacquering of drums and barrels.
Depending on the surface contamination the following process parameters may be followed. Exact parameters should be set after conducting initial trials.

Drying should be done immediately by hot air blower or in an oven at 60°C - 80°C.
NOTES ON APPLICATION
2. In the spray degreasing chambers, nylon brushes should be incorporated if possible for swabbing.
3. Rusty parts should be derusted separately by dipping in 25% solution of RUST SOLVENT-678 prior to taking such parts on this line. After derusting water rinsing should be done prior to cleaning-cum-phosphating.
4. Phosphating bath should be made fresh every 1 - 2 weeks depending on work load.
5. Passivation bath should be made fresh every 2 - 3 days.
6. Water rinsing tank as in step 2 could be eliminated if necessary due to space constraint, in which case the passivation bath should be fresh every d
(Dark coloured zinc phosphate coating)
Asfocoat-ecs produces a dark grey to black coloured compact zinc phosphate coating. The colour of the coating produced will vary from dark grey to black depending on composition of m. S. Material.
Asfocoat-ecs process is to be operated above 80°c. Parts which are processed with asfocoat-ecs can be either painted or oiled or one side can be painted and the other side can be applied with a suitable rust preventive oil.
Asfocoat-ecs is most suitable for various parts and components which need to have a deep black finish when oiled. It is ideal for components such as nuts, bolts, springs, gears, automotive components, textile machinery components, chains, sprockets, couplings etc. Where a dark grey to black zinc phosphate coating is desired alongwith superior rust protective properties.

RUST SOLVENT-BX is a rust remover-cum-pretreatment chemical product based on Phosphoric Acid composition which can be applied suitably by dipping method or by wiping to ferrous metals as well as aluminium in preparation for painting.
RUST SOLVENT-BX removes oils, rust, etches the surface to produce a fine iron phosphate coating.
BY DIP: Prepare the solution by diluting 1 part RUST SOLVENT-BX with 2 to 3 parts water and immerse the parts 30-60°C for 5-20 minutes in case of ferrous metals. Whereas for aluminium, dip the components for few minutes at 30-40°C. After removing from this bath, the aluminium parts are rinsed with cold water and then hot water. M.S. parts which are small or intricate in nature, also can be washed with hot water and then passivated.
Equipments required are mild steel tank lined with Rubber/PVC/FRP. Heating should be arranged by electric immersion heaters
WIPE METHOD: Prepare the solution by diluting 1 part RUST SOLVENT-BX with 2-6 parts water, and apply this solution on rusty steel surfaces by steel-wool or by brush. Allow to react with the surface for few minutes and then wipe the surface dry with a clean cloth or saw dust before the solution dries.
PASSIVATING: Cleaned parts or components are either sprayed with hot solution of 0.1% (1 gm/lit) ASFOFIX-A for half minute ( Passivation is carried out only on parts which are rinsed with water)
Then the surface is dried by blowing hot air or in oven before application of primer or paint.
Use rubber gloves on hand while working with the above solutions. Care should be taken to avoid splashing of the liquid on Clothes, eyes etc. Also material should be stored away from flame. Also cover the tanks containing the solution of RUST SOLVENT-BX with lids.
