CHEMIKLIN-10 is an aqueous inhibited acidic mixture, soluble in varying proportions with water. It is a very effective degreaser for iron & steel surfaces at low temperature. It has very good penetrating power to disintegrate and dissolve, machine oils, light greases, lubricants as well as light rust, either by dipping process or by swabbing.
Although CHEMIKLIN-10 is an excellent remover of grease, oil and light rust, usually heavy soil contamination should be removed first either in kerosene or by manually wiping off with a cloth soaked in CHEMIKLIN-10 solution. Similarly surfaces having extremely heavy rust formation should be removed mechanically or by means of wire brush during dipping method.
The following parameters should be followed depending on soil contamination, cycle time, etc. Actual parameters should be set after conducting initial trials.
5% - 15% v/v
R.T. - 45°C
v/v = volume by volume; R.T. = Room Temperature (20°C+)
Please note that time temperature and concentration are interdependent on each other, thus set the parameters accordingly.
Plastic or FRP lined M.S. tanks/containers should be used. Where heating of the bath is required then Teflon coated electric immersion heater should be used or external heating can be employed, but care should be taken that temperature does not exceed 45°C.
Concentration:- For heavy contamination : 50% v/v with water
For medium contamination : 20% - 30% v/v with water
For light contamination : 10% - 20% v/v with water
Prepare above solution of CHEMIKLIN-10 in a Plastic Container or FRP lined MS tank, then dip brush or cloth in this solution and apply on the contaminated surface and leave solution for 2 to 5 minutes till surface is completely clean then wipe clean with cloth soaked in water. For removal of heavy soils, scrubbing or wire brushing is advisable. This will speed up soil removal. This process can also be adopted before dipping process in cases of heavily soiled surfaces to extend life and strength of bath solution of dipping tank.

Asfoclean-310 is a coarse granular powder, consisting of a blend of strong alkalies, penetrants and dispersing agents. It was developed for rapid removal of unwanted materials from ferrous metal parts. It penetrates the contaminants, reacts chemically with the metal surface and thereby removing all exterior deposits on the metal surface.
Asfoclean-310 when dissolved in water, provides an easy means of removing oils, dirts, carbonaceous products, paints and varnishes from iron and steel. Its main use will be found in the reconditioning, and in the reclaiming of rejected components. Asfoclean-310 can be used on copper and aluminium but with great caution, and only at low concentrations as it may cause excessive attack to the base metal.
It is normally used at concentration of 5 – 10% in water in a hot soak tank preferably fitted with means of agitation. The most rapid results are obtained if the operation is carried out at higher temperature of 60°C - 90°C. In every case we recommend a final rinse in boiling or near boiling water. Compressed air agitation should never be done. Dunking can be done to enhance cleaning.
Paint Stripping :
Most wet paints or varnishes are removed by the action of ASFOCLEAN-310. Only experience will dictate the immersion time necessary for any particular paint or varnish. Concentration should be around 30% in hot water.
The articles are immersed in boiling Asfoclean-310 solution. Immersion time may be four hours for particularly tenacious deposits. Concentration of solution will vary from 5 to 20%. Solution may be circulated if required.

Any splashes on skin should be washed off with plenty of cold water

Our above product is an acidic composition containing organic inhibitors and surface active agents, suitable for use as a low cost general purpose descaling and derusting chemical specially for carbon steel or hot rolled steel & for cast iron parts by dip method.
Properties & Uses :
Rust and black scale oxides and heat treatment scales are readily removed from mild steel and ferrous alloys with negligible attack on the base metal because of the inhibitor content. Metal losses are reduced to as much as 6 to 8 times than using straight hydrochloric or sulphuric acids for pickling. Thus it enables long contact times to be used without fear of high metal losses.
Also because of the surfactants added to it, metal becomes more clean and bright. It reduces the surface tension and comes into more intimate contact with metal surfaces due to quick wetting and penetrating action. It speeds up the removal of oxide scales and rust and promotes brighter and more uniform pickling. For removal of Heat treatment scales, 25 to 50% of SCALGUN solution should be used.
For quick removal of black scales 1 part of SCALGUN is diluted with 1 part of water and parts are dipped at room temperature for 15 to 30 minutes. For removal of rust, 1 part of SCALGUN is diluted with 3 parts of water and materials are dipped for 15 – 30 minutes depending upon the amount of rust to be removed. However, for quicker action, the solution can be heated upto 50°C by means of silicon immersion heaters in jacketed heating arrangement. After the materials are pickled they are rinsed with plain water once or preferably twice. Then they are either passivated with our COROBIT-ARP at 1-2% concentration or they should be phosphated before any painting or further processing.
Synthetic rubber or PVC lined mild steel tank or polythene containers.

A 10% - 25% solution of Scalgun-B with water is to be prepared in a plastic container and contaminated parts to be immersed in this solution for 5-30 minutes at room temperature. Scalgun-B is a very effective cleaner and does away the need of using two different chemicals of Degreasing and Derusting. Scalgun-B is available in two standard Packing of 6 kgs & 40 kgs.

It has very good penetrating power to disintegrate and dissolve, rust or scales; either by dipping process or by swabbing. It can be used very effectively in ultrasonic equipments, tumblers, agitators for cleaning and /or derusting.
Although RUST SOLVENT is an excellent remover of rust, surfaces having extremely heavy scales or rust formation should be removed mechanically or by means of wire brush during dipping method.
I) Diiping Method:
For heavy contamination mix 1 part RUST SOLVENT with 1 part water by volume
For medium contamination - 1 part RUST SOLVENT with 2 parts water by volume
For light contamination - 1 part RUST SOLVENT with 3 - 5 parts water by volume
Prepare solution of RUST SOLVENT with water by volume as per above concentration in a Plastic tank/container. Simply dip the contaminated parts in the solution for 10 – 30 minutes at room temperature till the parts are completely clean. After dipping in RUST SOLVENT the parts should be rinsed with water and can be processed further for phosphating or they should be passivated in 0.05 % solution of ASFOFIX-A with water at 60 - 70 °C for 1 – 2 minutes and then air dried immediately by compressed air.
Use Rubber/PVC gloves while handling with this solution

A 10% - 25% solution of SCALGUN-SIL with water can be prepared in a plastic container and stainless steel parts to be treated are simply immersed in this solution for a few minutes to give the surface a uniform etched finish and a clean surface.
SCALGUN-SIL is available in two standard Packing of 6 kgs & 35 kgs.

Asfoclean -390 is a special deburring compound specially suited for all kinds of steels and hardened steels. It is not recommended for non-ferrous metals. When used in vibrators, agitators, tumblers etc. it will remove all kind of scales, rust, burr and other loose deposits producing a very clean and smooth even surface. Rinse tumble the components with fresh water
ASFOCLEAN-390 should have always with PVC/Rubber gloves. Use of apron is recommended

Removing oil & carbonaceous deposits from condensors & heat exchangers:
The articles are immersed in boiling STRIPPER-HD solution. Immersion time may be up to four hours for particularly tenacious deposits. Concentration of solution will vary from 1 to 10%. Solution may be circulated if required.
RUST SOLVENT-BX is a rust remover-cum-pretreatment chemical product based on Phosphoric Acid composition which can be applied suitably by dipping method or by wiping to ferrous metals as well as aluminium in preparation for painting.
RUST SOLVENT-BX removes oils, rust, etches the surface to produce a fine iron phosphate coating.
BY DIP: Prepare the solution by diluting 1 part RUST SOLVENT-BX with 2 to 3 parts water and immerse the parts 30-60°C for 5-20 minutes in case of ferrous metals. Whereas for aluminium, dip the components for few minutes at 30-40°C. After removing from this bath, the aluminium parts are rinsed with cold water and then hot water. M.S. parts which are small or intricate in nature, also can be washed with hot water and then passivated.
Equipments required are mild steel tank lined with Rubber/PVC/FRP. Heating should be arranged by electric immersion heaters
WIPE METHOD: Prepare the solution by diluting 1 part RUST SOLVENT-BX with 2-6 parts water, and apply this solution on rusty steel surfaces by steel-wool or by brush. Allow to react with the surface for few minutes and then wipe the surface dry with a clean cloth or saw dust before the solution dries.
PASSIVATING: Cleaned parts or components are either sprayed with hot solution of 0.1% (1 gm/lit) ASFOFIX-A for half minute ( Passivation is carried out only on parts which are rinsed with water)
Then the surface is dried by blowing hot air or in oven before application of primer or paint.
Use rubber gloves on hand while working with the above solutions. Care should be taken to avoid splashing of the liquid on Clothes, eyes etc. Also material should be stored away from flame. Also cover the tanks containing the solution of RUST SOLVENT-BX with lids.
